Basic SLR Class
Learn: The different types of cameras and photo medias; Using your camera’s various modes; Introduction to f stops, shutter speed, depth of field and metering; Composition; A look at lenses; Focus; Flash; Camera accessories; Use of f stop/shutter in various situations; Reading your digital images information; White balance; Flash; Filters; ISO; File formats and organizing images. Includes mini-workbook.
Two-day class will be held Tuesdays, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6 from 6-8:30 p.m. Class fee:$40. Limited to 6 attendees. Non-refundable deposit of $20 required to hold your spot in the class.

Creating Portraits
Those who know the basics of photography but are interested in learning how to take more professional portraits and creating some beautiful images can take the class “Creating Portraits.” This three-day class is held November 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Goshen (at the Photographers Guild), Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon in Goshen, and Nov. 15 from 6-9 p.m. in Syracuse (at the studio).
Photographer Jenni Kulp will give instructions on basic posing; information on photographing a variety of different people; using both indoor and outdoor lighting; and working with lights, props and backgrounds. This class is partially hands-on and students will be working with models to create images. Day one is held in Goshen where we will learn the basics of posing and lighting indoors. Day two is held in Goshen again where we will learn about outdoor lighting and work on creating images outdoors. Day three is held in Syracuse at my studio, where we will be able to use a variety of backgrounds and props and work on our indoor lighting.
The cost for this class is $100. This class is limited to 6 attendees. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to hold your spot in the class.

Wedding Workshop

2 Day wedding workshop. This is a big deal, it’s everything the new photographer needs to know to get started plus working with a bridal couple to create a portfolio, and we will only have 8 spots. Details coming soon.
One-on-One Consulting
Each year, I get dozens of requests for help from those interested in getting started in photography. I wish I could help everyone but I do have to pay my bills. Learning to be a photographer has cost me thousands of dollars in education and training, and 10 years of “street knowledge” in the industry.
If you are truly interested in learning about the industry and are interested in investing in your education, I do offer one-on-one consulting and training. This is the “street knowledge” you don’t learn in classes. Our time together can focus on just about anything – business essentials, selling, marketing, wedding photography or any other photography.
